Jerry LaRue Easton, 73, of Owensboro passed away on February 7, 2019 in Owensboro. The son of James and Marjorie Easton, Jerry was born June 11, 1945 in Owensboro. Jerry graduated from Owensboro High School in 1964. He enjoyed boating and water skiing on the Ohio River, trips to the country and fishing, old cars, watching old movies, but most of all he loved spending time with family and sharing old memories and humorous family stories. Jerry was a gifted artist and attended Christ Community Church. Despite his chronic illnesses in recent years, Jerry maintained a sense of humor and a fighting spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Easton.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Brown Easton; brothers, Gwendol Easton and Jimmie Easton; sister, Debbie de Caussin (Norman); an aunt, Teresa Easton; nieces and nephews, Julie Easton Gadbois, James Russell Easton, Jimmy Lee Easton, James Adrian de Caussin and Ryan de Caussin; great-nieces, Ariana Perez and Sophia Easton-Alegria; and multiple cousins.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
