Thomas J. McCormick III, 47, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from injuries he sustained in a trucking accident in New Mexico. He was born May 27, 1971 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Thomas J. and Barbara McCormick, Jr. Thomas was a truck driver for Quality Transport Co. in Freeport, Illinois. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his pet dogs and supported Unchained Love , which was a pit bull rescue organization.
Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Mary Allen McCormick, three stepdaughters, Kristin (Chris) Goodman, Cathy Carroll, and Theresa Rickertsen, all of Owensboro, a stepson, Jimmy (Casey) Carroll of Owensboro, a daughter, McKenzie Hoffman and a son, Tommy Hoffman, both of Boonville, Indiana, two step grandchildren, Jayce Carroll and Piper Goodman, both of Owensboro, a brother, Tim McCormick of Evansville, and two sisters, Karla M. Smith of Mt Vernon, Indiana and Lydra McCormick of Newburgh, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service for Thomas McCormick III will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
