DRAKESBORO – John Elvis Ewing, 65, of Drakesboro, died Friday, December 22, 2023, at 12:30AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Ewing was born June 12, 1958, in Logan County. He was a self-employed entrepreneur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Elizabeth Ewing; son, Shawn Ewing; sisters, Joanna Ewing, Patricia Knight, and Christine Ewing; and brother, James Dean Ewing.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Smith Ewing; children, Karen (Windle) Groves, Timothy (Lori) Callahan, Jason Ewing, John (Casee) Ewing, and Adam Ewing; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Patsy Ewing; and brother, William Ray Ewing.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Danny Miller officiating. Burial in Highway Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
