Cecil Wayne Whitler, Sr., 67, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at his home. He was born October 27, 1956 in Hartford, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Whitler and Inez Taylor Whitler. Cecil retired from Raybold Construction.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Scott Stout; four brothers, Charles Ray Whitler, Jimmy Dale Whitler, Jackie B. Whitler, and Danny Whitler; two sisters, Joyce Jewell Decker and Margaret Lee Wallace.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife, Tena Kiper Whitler of Beaver Dam; eight children, Cecil Wayne (Stacy) Whitler, Jr. of Russellville; Sandra (Xavier) Camacho of Florida, Christina Phelps of Beaver Dam; Tina Lori (Ellen) Watson of Beaver Dam; Tommy (Nicole) Watson of Beaver Dam, Vicki (Charlie) Buchanan of Beaver Dam, Steven (Beth) Watson of Hartford and Erin (Zakry) Baize of Beaver Dam. He was blessed with twenty-three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with Cecil’s family from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
