Mildred Hoover, 89 of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 26, 1934 in Daviess County to the late Focient & Mary Turner. Mildred was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired as a Legal Secretary from Rummage, Kamuf, Yewell, and Pace. She enjoyed traveling, where she visited all fifty states and abroad. Mildred’s family was her life, she loved her kids and grandkids and would do anything for them.
Survivors include her children; Janice (Chris) Cart, Mark (Le) Hoover, Brian Hoover, Scott (Andrea) Hoover; nine grandchildren, Samantha Hoover, Heather Rush, Mehgan Hoover, Nathan Cart, Whitley Cowart, Zachery Hoover, Emily Hoover, Hannah Hoover, Logan Cart; brother, Robert (Anna) Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Mildred’s loving caregiver, Jenny Hinch and Hospice of Western Kentucky.
Funeral Mass will be at Noon on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 am – 11:30 am Tuesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
