Thomas A Fogle

February 13, 1935 - February 14, 2019

Thomas A. Fogle, 84, of Owensboro, went to be with his sweetheart February 14, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 13, 1935 in Stanley to the late Joseph and Catherine Krampe Fogle. Thomas served in the United States military as a member of the army. He was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he loved to make sure the lawn was manicured and visiting the daycare where he was known as “Mr. Fogo.” His world revolved around the St. Pius X cooking team, his true passion. Being a master of recipes and creating innovative cooking technology brought him the most joy. Thomas also enjoyed UK basketball, and watching NASCAR, being a fan of Dale Earnhardt. He cherished his time with his family, especially his grandsons.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Juanita Fogle; sister, Anna Marie “Sissy” Fogle; and brothers, Joe, Ed, Bobby, and Jimmy Fogle.

He is survived by his daughters; Maria Cole and her husband Tracy, of Owensboro, and Karen Boerste and her husband Shawn, of Louisville; grandsons, Dustin Cole and his fiancée Jessica, and Peyton and Hunter Boerste; brothers, Pat (Barbara), and Larry (Joyce) Fogle; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be 11 am Monday, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Father Bruce Fogle and Father Tom Buckman officiating. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12 pm until 6 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with prayers at 5, and Monday morning from 9 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home.
