Linda Carolyn Henderson Shouse, 70, of Owensboro passed away Saturday at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Shouse was born July 8, 1948 in Daviess County to the late Chalmus Allen Henderson and Mary Agnes Howard Henderson. Linda graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School (’68), was a devoted member of Blessed Mother Parrish who made rosaries and prayed it often, She was also an assistant chaplain of the Disabled Veterans. Retiring from Care Tenders, she served others as a housekeeper and home health aide as well as being a Mary Kay consultant. Linda enjoyed gardening, fishing and her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shouse also was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Leo Henderson.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband of 19 years, Larry Shouse of Owensboro; sons, Al Howard (Carrie) of Whitesville and Nathan Howard of Philpot; grandsons, Lucas Howard and Kristopher Howard; sisters, Darleen King (Jesse, deceased) of Owensboro, Judy Fee (Kevin) of Livermore, Regina Dowell (Mike) of Pellville, and Margie Cobb (David, deceased) of Rumsey; brothers, Allen Henderson (Mag) of Owensboro, Darrell Henderson of Calhoun; step-daughters, Laura Bradley (Michael) and Elisabeth Geurin (Ben), all of Murray; step-grandchildren, Steven (Samantha) and Larry Lee Shouse III, Brittani Rogers (Austin), Abigail, Belle, and Emily Bradly, Daniel and Lexi Joyner, Castyn Geurin, Penelope Shouse, Emery Plowman; step-great-grandson, Ezra Bradley-Rogers; three aunts, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass for Linda Shouse will be 11:00 Wednesday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 till 7 with prayers at 6 and Wednesday from 10 until 10:45 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
