David "Dave" Ray Hawn

David “Dave” Ray Hawn, 77, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born June 30, 1946 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Glen David Hawn and Flossie Miller. Dave retired from Dal-Tile where he worked as a machinist and was a member of Nazarene Church. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming and was an outstanding cook. Dave loved the Chicago Cubs, Illinois basketball, Chicago Bears football, Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls. He was a staunch Democrat and enjoyed woodworking, but his main focus in life was his family. He also loved listening to the Jason Coleman Show on YouTube.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Donna Ralph Hawn; two sons, James David Hawn (Renee) and Jeffrey Duane Hawn; three grandchildren, Stephanie Hawn, Alex Hawn, Emberlynne Shirel; four great-grandchildren; several siblings including one brother, Larry Hawn (Carol); and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Ralph Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
