GREENVILLE, KY., Carol Lynn Smith, 63, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born in Framingham Massachusetts on November 5, 1960 the daughter of Kenneth Roy Holmes and Retha Nell Dunning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenneth Holmes II and 2 sisters Dorothy Patterson and Shelia Church.
She is survived by her companion of 8 years Allen Whirley of Greenville, 2 children Molly (Brandon) McKinney of Greenville, and Heather (Daniel) Nolen of Central City, 5 grandchildren Isiah Welborn, Ayden Nolen, Hannah (Nate) Schnadinger, Charleigh Holmes, and Jaxton McKinney, 3 sisters Sharon Holmes of Central City, Susan Willoughby of Central City, and Cindy (Gary) Cox of Owensboro.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Roger Wright officiating.
