Barbara Holland Greenwell, 81, of Owensboro, passed away March 5, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 23, 1937 in Owensboro to the late Earl and Nancy Smeathers Bivens. Barbara worked as an insurance agent until her retirement, which was short lived, as soon after she decided to work in the mortgage business. She will be greatly missed by her family, who will remember her as being strong-willed, and classy.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Greenwell; and her brother, Rex Bivens.
She is survived by her son, Lynn (Sara) Holland, of Owensboro; step-son, Nick Greenwell; grandchildren, Neil (Courtney) Holland and Katy Holland; and great-grandchildren, Eli and Haynes Holland.
The funeral service will be 2pm Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am until 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
