Edward B. Peacock, 77, of Owensboro passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Owensboro, a son of the late Beverly and Ola Sosh Peacock, he attended Owensboro High School and graduated from the Stanton Military Academy in Stanton, Virginia. After attending the University of Louisville, he began his career as an office equipment technician. In 1987 he took a position in Key West, FL with the Diebold Company as a technician for bank vaults and related equipment, retiring after 15 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Clarksville, TN, and then returned to Owensboro. Mr. Peacock, a Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed fishing, bowling, and woodworking, He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Peacock.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 39 years, Martha Payne Peacock; his children Edward Allen Peacock and Amy Russel Peacock; four grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his brother James Richard “Butch” Peacock.
The funeral service for Mr. Peacock will be 12:00 noon Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
