Judy Warren Maszaros, 77, of Owensboro, passed away March 20, 2019 while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born October 19, 1941 to the late Newman and Mary Brown. Judy was a faithful member of First General Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Missionary Society as well as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a graduate of Livermore High School and then went on to earn a master’s degree from Western Kentucky State College. Judy then began her teaching career with the Daviess County Board of Education and taught elementary school for 33 years. She taught at both Stanley and Audubon Elementary Schools. Judy enjoyed reading, spending time with her Bunco Group, traveling, bowling and Kentucky Wesleyan Basketball. She was also a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and the exercise class at YMCA, “Silver Sneakers”.
Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Maszaros; son, Todd Maszaros (Susan); granddaughter, Nina Maszaros; sisters, Jane Hurt, Sharon Spratt (Bill); brother, Newman Brown, Jr. (Gayle); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bro. Bob Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
