Doris Lee “Dot” McLimore Steitler, 84, of Owensboro, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born March 17, 1935 in Owensboro to the late Everett and Mary McLimore. Dot was the secretary/treasurer for Riley’s Office Products Inc. and had worked at General Electric. She enjoyed yard work, flowers and was a seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Steitler.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Stephen Riley Steitler; son, Steve Steitler; daughters, Katie Williams (David) and Brenda Vincent; Godson, Bob O’Bryan (Carol); six grandchildren, Holly Sikora, Neal Chapman, Jennifer Dudley, Bethany Vincent, Natalie Richardson and Jessica Swanson; three great-grandchildren, Parks, Olivia and Wilder; brothers, J.R. McLimore (Dana) and Robert McLimore (Betty); sisters, Eva Statts, Judy Martin (David) and Wanda McKenney (Don); and former son-in-law, Roger Vincent.
Words of comfort from Myke Templeton will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
