David Allen Claycomb, 74, of Owensboro, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born May 21, 1944 in Henderson, KY to the late Allen and Lucille Wright Claycomb. He had been employed at Lowe’s and was a U.S. Navy veteran. David enjoyed fishing, camping and the St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Janet Staples.
Survivors include his sister, Mollie C. Basinger (Phillip); nieces and nephews, Kimberly Basinger, James Basinger (Carrie), Diana Rumage (Chris) and Chris Staples (Susan); and several great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
