Lori Edwards

Lori Edwards 83, of Sacramento, Kentucky fell asleep in death on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was surrounded by family and went peacefully.

Loretta Marie Douglas was born May 20, 1940 in San Francisco, California to the late Jeremiah Lloyd and Josephine Mary Keane Douglas, was married to the love of her life, Harold Dean ‘Ed’ Edwards on June 19, 1959, and was better known as ‘Lori’ to her family and friends.

Lori was known for her big smile and finding humor in everything. She loved people watching, but especially loved watching her family be together. She dedicated her life to Jehovah God in water baptism on October 13, 2002. Since that date, she never missed a meeting at the local Kingdom Hall, and everyone in her congregation knew which seat was hers. When she couldn’t attend in person, she joined via zoom. Even the day before she fell asleep in death, she tried to join her congregation in the public preaching and teaching work via zoom. Proving she took seriously her dedication vow to Jehovah God.

She will be missed dearly. Her family longs to see her in the promised resurrection found at John 5:28 & 29, when she will be young, healthy and the happy person she always was.

In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Harold ‘Ed’ Edwards, who died March 11, 2001 and by a brother, Joe Douglas.

Lori is survived by two sons, Dennis Edwards of Sacramento and Robert Edwards of Washington; a beloved daughter-in-law, Priscilla Edwards; four granddaughters, Tawna Belk (Greg), Michelle Ochoa (Laplante), Hailey Guenthner (Rob), and Lynette Million (Caleb); three great-grandchildren, Mollie Belk, Rorie Guenthner, and Addie Guenthner; five brothers, Guy Graham, Gary Graham, Raymond Graham, Danny Graham, and Dennis Graham; and five sisters, Sandra Reese, Barbara Jean Dallas, Jeanne Hoy, Barbara Hogan, and Mary Bratsch.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses; 1050 Kentucky 136 East; Calhoun, Kentucky. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Lori’s family.
