Margaret Phillips Aud, 89, of Whitesville passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. Born June 27, 1929 in Whitesville to the late James L. Phillips and Thelma Harl Phillips, Margaret lived all her life in Daviess County. She was an amazing woman, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered for her kindness and giving personality. Margaret enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends. She was a fantastic cook and her kitchen was open 24/7 for whomever happened to drop by. Margaret was devoted to her children and grandchildren and never went a day without speaking to multiple members of her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aud also was preceded in death by her great grandson, Jacob Printess Ward; great granddaughter, Briannah Emma Ibarra; son-in-law Scott Ward.
Those left to cherish her memory include two children: son Jim Phillips Aud and wife Janie of Lake Jackson, Texas and daughter, Jill Aud Ward of Whitesville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Aud Stahl (Mike) of Lake Jackson, Texas, Holly Aud Ibarre (Eli) of Austin, Texas, Ben Ward (Lori) of Orlinda, Tennessee, and Leslie Ward of Whitesville; six great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janie Porter Aud.
A memorial service for Margaret Aud will be at 10:00 am Thursday, April 11 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Ellis Family Cemetery. Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
