Marilyn Buras, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1952 in Owensboro to the late George and Evelyn Stinnett Montgomery. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Marilyn was a loving person and very devout and active in her faith.
In addition to her parents Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Montgomery; grandson, Christopher Daniel Lanham; and nephew, Brian Wedding.
Survivors include her three sons, Shane Lanham, Eric Lanham and Keith Lanham; two grandchildren, Nicholas Lanham and Kirsten Lanham; two sisters, Carolyn Wink (Richard) and Martina Wedding; a brother, George Montgomery; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Monroe.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2208 Tamarack Road, Owensboro, KY 42301.
