HARTFORD – Donald Eugene Magan, 87, of Hartford died July 29th, 2024 at his home. He was born March 17th, 1937 in the Beech Valley Community of Kentucky to the late Leonard and Nellie Gillim Magan.
Donald was a backhoe operator for the Ohio County Road Department and was a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Magan.
Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra Carpenter Magan; two sons, Robbie (Sherry) Magan and Clint (Heather) Magan; two daughters, Carla (Terry) Griffin and Kami (Jason) Likens; grandchildren, Andrew (Arin) Magan, Adam (Johnna) Magan, Taylor Griffin, Sam Griffin, Devin Coffield, Lane Likens, Byron Magan, Bradyn Magan, Shelby Magan, Nathan (Samantha) Likens, Kayla (Chevy) Minton; 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Sherry Addington.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 1st, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday, August 2nd, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. The service will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Ron Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Magan Community Cemetery.
