Lavon Aubrey Moorman, age 83 of Harned, KY passed away August 12, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Solway, KY on February 11, 1941, daughter of the late Letha Mae Ramsey Downs and Walter Aubrey. Lavon was a member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. She retired in 2017 after almost 25 years of service as a rural mail carrier in the Hawesville and surrounding area. Lavon was the former Section 8 Housing Coordinator for Breckinridge County. She was an antique collector, a fan of UK sports, enjoyed traveling and reading.
Lavon is survived by Tom, her husband of 52 years.
3 children: Greg Ellis of Florida, Aubrey Lanice Fentress of Harned, KY and Mary Esther Moorman Scott (Sidney) of Harned, KY.
6 grandchildren: Leticha Caruso, Victor Ellis and Daniel Ellis of Huntsville, AL; Alexis Lee Fentress of Louisville, KY; Dravon Scott of Harned, KY and Jarod Scott of Bloomfield, KY
1 great grandchild: Ben Caruso
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2 PM with burial in the Glen Dean Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, 11 AM – 2 PM. All times are central.
