CENTRAL CITY – Janiffer Faye Metheny, 78, of Central City, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Metheny was born October 11, 1945, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of Nelson Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Wanda Everett; and brothers, James “Buddy” Everett and Ezra “Hezzie” Everett.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Lee Metheny, Sr.; children, Krisi (Jeff) Davis of Central City and Ronald Jr. (Fawne) Metheny of Greenville; grandchildren, Amanda Boarman, Emma (William) Cowen, and Dylan Metheny; and great-grandchildren, Bradley Boarman, Abigail Boarman, and Preston Cowen.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 2024, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Jared Baker officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
