John H. Little, 70, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born May 9, 1948 in Alton, Illinois to the late Alvis Little and Marie Toombs Little, John served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. John was a devoted Christian who was engaged in some itinerate ministry with his wife, Voneece. He enjoyed watching old westerns and being outdoors. John and Voneece loved and raised many animals which were affectionately known as their “fur babies”.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 22 years, Voneece White Little; three daughters, Becky Little of Texas City, Texas, Jennifer Hartley of Miami Beach, Florida, and Wendy Little also of Texas City, Texas; sisters, Alice Gorin (Ed) of Piasa, Illinois and Diane Niemeyer (Carroll) of Auburndale, Florida; brother, Jim Little of East Alton, Illiniois; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for John Little will be noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial with military honors will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
