Elizabeth Greenwalt 102, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Amelia Elizabeth Hudson was born April 7, 1922 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late George and Dolly Hudson and was married to Charles Everett ‘Pug’ Greenwalt. Elizabeth’s journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and kindness.
In her early years, Elizabeth embraced the role of homemaker with enthusiasm and pride. She was a constant presence beside her husband, assisting him with seamstress work in his upholstery shop. Her nimble fingers and keen eye for detail were evident in every stitch she sewed. Elizabeth was not only a support to her husband in their shared business but also a pillar of strength in her community.
Elizabeth’s interests were as abundant as her talents. She had a passion for quilting, an art she pursued with precision and creativity, each piece a testament to her patience and skill. Her garden was a source of pride and joy, with vibrant flowers and bountiful vegetables that she lovingly tended to each season. The art of canning vegetables was another of Elizabeth’s specialties, preserving the bounty of her garden to share with others.
Her faith was central to her life, and she was a dedicated member of the Livermore Missionary Baptist Church. Elizabeth’s commitment to her faith was evident in her actions and the way she lived her life, always striving to embody the teachings of kindness and compassion she held so dear.
Elizabeth’s legacy is one of warmth and generosity. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by the many lives she touched. Her gentle spirit, unwavering support, and the love she shared with her family and friends will be deeply missed. Elizabeth’s spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Everett ‘Pug’ Greenwalt, who died May 10, 2000.
Elizabeth is survived nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Elizabeth’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
