David Roy Haynes, 78, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born April 3, 1941 in Valley Station, KY to the late Roy and Helen Hagan Haynes. David retired from Lance after 35 years and was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Bybee and brother, Ronald Haynes.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Wanda Haynes; two sons, Stephen M. Haynes and David E. Haynes, both of Owensboro; one daughter, Salena K. Clark of Hartford; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Becky Neal of Owensboro, Patty May of Lewisport and Donna Ray of Owensboro.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with prayers at 6 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
