Christopher L. Sherritt, born July 31, 1974, age 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was a beloved father, son, family member and friend, he left behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.
Christopher is survived by his son, Gabriel, and his loving parents, Anita Cash (Roy) and Tim Sherritt (Phyllis). Anita’s unwavering love for Christopher was a constant source of support throughout his life. Their bond was a testament to the strength of a mother’s love, and she took immense pride in the man he became and the father he was to Gabe. Christopher was a devoted father to his 11-year-old son, Gabe, who was the light of his life. His dedication to Gabe was unmatched; he was an amazing father who found immense joy in spending time with his son. He was known for his passion for weightlifting, a hobby that reflected his inner strength and determination. He was a man who believed in perseverance, whether in the gym or in his personal life. However, his greatest source of happiness was the time he spent with his son, Gabe. Christopher was an example to others, always prioritizing his relationship with Gabe and creating lasting memories together.
Christopher leaves behind his extended family including his “Granny Becky” Widdifield, Grandma Joyce Sherritt, Gabe’s mother (Katie), Gabe’s godparents (Jared and Jennifer), aunts, uncles, cousins and other special friends he chose to be his family. He valued those relationships deeply and made time to nurture them, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
