Jerry L. Bradley, 79, of Owensboro, passed away August 29, 2024, at home. Born December 11, 1944, in Jenkinjones, WV to the late Graydon and Virginia Isbell Bradley, Jerry was the kindest man with a sweet personality. Affectionately known as “Poppa” to those who loved him most, he went above and beyond for his family. He was a living saint, always taking care of any and everyone that needed a helping hand. He served in the United States Navy and worked in the aluminum industry until he retired from ALCOA. When time allowed, Jerry enjoyed going antiquing or to “junk stores” and was always on the hunt for his next “treasure.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-two years, Sandra, who he got misty eyed over anytime he spoke of her memory. A true example of love to their family, they find great peace knowing they are reunited again, and his sisters, Barbara Bradley and Judy Mattioli.
Jerry is survived by his children, Stacey Bradley, Roger (Tana) English, Lisa English Streeter, and Michelle English Watson; grandchildren, David (Amy), Logan (Hannah), Garrett (Kaitlin), Abbey, Lauren (Hill), Michael (Paulina), Austin, Evan (Jordan), and Brianna, as well as nine great-grandchildren and his sister, Linda Wagner.
The funeral service for Mr. Bradley will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Chapel of Peace.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, 1225 W 3rd St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
