GREENVILLE – Pauline C Riley passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the age of 92 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.
Born on August 28, 1932 in rural Olmsted, Pulaski Co. IL, Pauline dedicated her life to service, most notably through her involvement in numerous church organizations. Her deep faith and commitment to her community were evident in every aspect of her life. After her marriage to Bob in 1950, they made their home in Chicago, IL, rural Massac Co., IL, and Evansville, IN until they moved to Greenville in 1960.
Pauline had a passion for feeding the hungry and believed deeply in educational initiatives, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others. Her generous spirit and unwavering dedication touched countless lives, and she will be remembered for her kindness and compassion.
She is survived by her children, Randall Riley, and Karen (Dennis) Hall, her grandchildren, Maranda (David) Littlejohn, Nathan Hall, and Layce (Carroll) McPherson, and her great-granddaughter Brooke Littlejohn.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Roy, and Abbie Fennon (McKiever) Culbertson, her siblings, Raymond Culbertson and Ada Hildebrand, and her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert “Bob” Riley.
A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12pm at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, KY. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will immediately proceed the service starting at 10am. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to be made in her memory to First Fruits at Second Baptist Church or the Muhlenberg Co. Humane Society, or a favorite charity of your choice.
