Joyce A. Snyder, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Wellington Parc. She was born on June 28, 1939, in Daviess County to the late Hilton and Ina Lou Karn Snyder. Joyce worked in Human Resources for Texas Gas before her retirement and was also a member of the bowling league there and enjoyed eating with the Lunch Bunch Group from work. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir since the age of 12. Joyce loved her cats and dogs, crafting, which included crochet, needlepoint and plastic canvas art. She also loved to travel and take many pictures with her camera, visiting 49 of the 50 states.
Joyce is survived by her two brothers, Glenn Snyder and his wife, Mary Ann, of Owensboro, and Larry Snyder and his wife, Nodene, of Houston, TX; a niece, Laura Snyder; three nephews, Bruce Snyder (Marcie), David Snyder (Jennifer) and Robert Snyder (Michelle); and five great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Joyce Snyder will be 2 PM, Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Paul Strahan officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
