Cora B. Lindsey, 96, of Maceo, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her home. She was born December 1, 1927 in Breckinridge County, KY to the late Lon Aldridge and Mary Ethel Brown Aldridge. Cora worked at the Cigar Factory for 21 years and retired from the Daviess County Public Schools where she worked for 11 years. She was the kindest, caring, forgiving, and loving woman the world has ever known.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, William F. Lindsey; and siblings and spouses, Owen Aldridge (Lora), Mattie Thornhill (Lee), Clyde Aldridge (Ola), Jesse Aldridge (Golda), Nora Alice Noffsinger (Willie), Jim Aldridge (Hazel), Lilly Smith (Joe), and Paul Aldridge (Jean).
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Lindsey; sister, Margaret Noble; special niece, Tammy Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special adopted family, Roger and Pam McCaslin, George and Sue Wright, and Bob Greathouse.
There will be no service or visitation.
