Gladys C. French, 93, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her home. She was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late William and Eula Casebier.
As a young lady, Ms. French worked at General Electric before becoming a respiratory therapist. She retired from Mercy Hospital in Owensboro. During her retirement years she baked bread for Reid’s Orchard for a period of 21 years. Gladys was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church for nearly 60 years.
She was preceded in death by a son Tracy French; a great-granddaughter, Caelynn Brown; sisters, Edna Murdock, Elizabeth Casebier Eichen, Retha Peveler, Margaret Caplinger; and brothers, William Casebier, Jr. and Mike Casebier.
She is survived by her sons, Pastor Jeff French (Karla) of Santa Claus, IN and Todd French of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jaclyn Wells (Chad), Whitney Brown (Dustin), Emily Hunter and Tracy French; great-grandchildren, Aaron French, Aiden Wells, Addison Wells and Jackson Brown; a sister, Juanita Allen of Beaver Dam; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 18 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
