Kenny McCoy 68, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his home near Calhoun. Kenneth Franklin McCoy was born May 23, 1956 in Cloverport, Kentucky to the late Roy Hubert and Regina B. Hawkins McCoy and was married to the former Angel Marie Carpenter on October 24, 2003. Kenny was a man whose warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Kenny dedicated 27 and a half years of his life to Tyson Foods in Robards, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his love for his family and his zest for life. Kenny’s interests were as varied as they were joyful. An avid fisherman, he could often be found with a line in the water, enjoying the serenity of nature. He was also a skilled pool player, delighting in the friendly competition and camaraderie around the pool table.

Animals held a special place in Kenny’s heart, and he devoted much of his time to caring for the various creatures that were part of his family. However, the true highlight of Kenny’s life was the time he spent with his family and friends. He cherished every moment with them, especially with his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

Kenny’s absence will be deeply felt by all those who were fortunate enough to experience his friendship, his gentle kindness, and his unwavering support. He was the kind of person who made the world a better place simply by being in it. His laughter, his stories, and his genuine concern for others will be sorely missed. Kenny’s memory will be treasured forever in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same enthusiasm and joy that he did.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Jones.
