Gloria Tipton Jackson Beals, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born November 6, 1940 in Owensboro to the late Gladys Sharp Tipton and Jesse Tipton. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and started her career at Daviess County Public Schools as a school Bus Driver and retired from the Central Office as a secretary. Along with her family, she loved her three Yorkshire terriors, a rescued Calico cat, and her quarter horses on her farm in Stanley, KY.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 25 years, Vernie Beals; children Scott (Carol) Jackson of Columbus, Ohio and Kimberly (Randy Payne) Jackson of Owensboro; stepchildren Eddie (Christy) Beals of Owensboro and Misty (Derek) Hardy of Bardstown; step grandchildren Rebecca, Bethany, Megan, and Wyatt Beals, Landon, Braden, and Evan Hardy and Zachary Payne; a brother Robert (Jackie) Tipton of Owensboro; and nephews Rafeal, Troy, and Breckley Tipton.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, September 23 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with entombment following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2 PM until 6 PM Sunday and from Noon until the time of the service Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
