Geraldine “Deno” York (Sexton), 72, of Owensboro, passed away September 21, 2024, at Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation. She was born June 13, 1952 in Daviess County to the late John Emory Sexton and Eula Mae Cooper. Geraldine was a social butterfly who enjoyed visiting with family and friends. In her spare time, she would most likely be found sewing together stuffed animals, crocheting clothes for dolls, gardening and caring for her tomato plants, as well as taking care of her hummingbirds.
Gerladine was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” York, as well as both of her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Rosa (Richard) Cox and Tabatha (Josh) Brown; brothers, Johnny and Darrell Sexton; grandchildren, Angel, George, Odin, and Noah; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
