Georgia Claire Powell, age 7, of Owensboro, joyfully entered the arms of the Lord on September 29, 2024. Born on December 1, 2016, in Owensboro to loving parents George and Amanda Hayden Powell, Georgia’s radiant spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Despite her young age, Georgia’s infectious smile, blonde hair often swept up in her signature top knot, and boundless energy made her unforgettable. Known for her warm and outgoing personality, she was a true social butterfly who thrived on being around people and exploring the world around her. A proud second grader at Foust Elementary, Georgia, cherished her school days, especially the simple joy of riding the bus each morning.

Georgia loved spending time with her family, particularly their vacations to the beach and the many adventures they shared. Her siblings adored reading to her, and she found endless delight in watching her favorite show, Bluey.

Though she faced challenges, Georgia never let them dim her vibrant spirit. Her courage, joy, and love of life inspired all who were fortunate enough to meet her. Georgia’s beautiful smile and zest for life will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, George Arthur Powell II.
