Wilma A. Jones, 98, of Owensboro passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born November 9, 1925 in Daviess County to the late J. Adrian and A. Lorena Alvey. Wilma was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Kenneth Jones; son, William Jones; grandson, Ryan Jones; siblings, Mary Thompson, Joseph Alvey, and Margaret Alvey; and sons-in-law, Darrell Greer and Michael Thompson.
She is survived by her children, Linda Greer; Stephen Jones (Sherry), Glenn Jones, Michael Jones (Mary Lou), and Lisa Thompson (Butch); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday with prayers at 6:30 p.m. at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation on Saturday will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
