Hallie Marie Embery, 86, of Owensboro, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on May 30, 1932 in Portland, TN to the late H.L. & Emma Scurlock. Marie worked at G.E. after 43 years and at MPD for 2 years. She was a very loving and caring person, also a big jokester. She loved animals and was a loving mom. She cared about her friends and care givers. Marie was very devoted to Jimmy Swaggart and sons and also Elvis. She had several pets through the years and her last one still living and lonely is Casey. Marie loved the outdoors, especially her flowers and plants. Many thanks to her neighbors, Bob and Karen.
Marie is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Embery in 2003 and her son, William “Bill” Embery in 2012, grandparents, Connie and Patty Harper; sister, Rachel Deckard; uncles, Hazel Harper, Kenneth Harper, J.P. Harper; Aunts, Eller Harper, Essie Mae Harper, and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley DeLong; niece, Debbie Ralph and her husband Patrick.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Chapel of Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00-1:00 on Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
