Mary Helen Haynes Ward passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 2, 2024. She was born Mary Helen Haynes, on May 17, 1937, to Newman and Mary Ruth Haynes. Married on October 29th, 1960, she was the loving wife of Robert Allen Ward, for 64 years. She was a wonderful mother to her three children and a devoted Catholic to her faith, as a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. She passed her faith on to her children, through prayer and devotion, making sure that faith was the center of their family unity.
Mary Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was lovingly known as “Grandmommy” to all of her grandchildren. Mary Helen was always there for her family, offering love, support, and encouragement. She loved to spend her time on the family farm, working side-by-side with her husband. Mary Helen loved to camp with her family in the summer and spend time with them on vacations. She always made the holidays special by cooking her favorite holiday dishes. In her professional life, Mary Helen worked at General Electric.
To our Mother in Heaven, thank you for always guiding us and loving us. You are forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed. We will always love you. Thank you for your unconditional love and support throughout your life.
Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Newman Haynes and Mary Ruth Haynes, and her siblings, Agnes Haynes, Paul Haynes, Jimmy Haynes, and Bernard Haynes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Allen Ward; her children, Dr. Terry (Lisa) Ward, Kim (Allen) Isbill, and Kevin (Marcia) Ward; her grandchildren, Tanner (Briawna) Ward, Tyler (Catherine) Ward, Molly Ward, Maggie Ward, Macy Ward, Britney (Clay) Moss, Hailey Ward, Jonathan Isbill, Alyson Isbill, Benjamin Isbill; three great-grandchildren, Emersyn Ward, Cash Ward, Jax Moss, with another one on the way. This also includes four loving siblings, Regina Mayfield, Robert Haynes, Edward (Mary) Haynes, and Frankie (Priscilla) Haynes; her sisters-in-law, Lillian Haynes, Anna Marie Haynes, Betty Hamilton, Barbara Jones, Rita Ward, and Sharon Cosco; her brother-in-law, Donnie (Paula) Ward, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A special thank you to everyone who assisted in the care of our loving mother during her time of need.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, with Father Mike Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, on Friday, December 6, 2024, with prayers at 6:00 PM, with Father Mike Williams. Visitation will resume, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, from Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
