Roger Dale Barrett, age 59 of McDaniels, KY passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Norton Hospital. He was born in Louisville, KY on November 24, 1965. Roger spent many years on the road as a truck driver, having worked for several companies, but Huffman Transport was the last company he worked with. He enjoyed his job, the people he worked with and the people he met along the way. He was quite the outdoorsman – you could find him hunting, fishing and farming. Being “Gampa” to his 7 month old grandson filled his days with joy and he loved the new title.
Roger was preceded in death by his son Jeffery Harold Barrett, parents Amy and Clifton Barrett, siblings John Barrett, Carol Jenkins, William Barrett and Mary Priddy.
Roger is survived by his wife Cathy Barrett of McDaniels, KY
2 children: Jordan Barrett (Faith) of Custer, KY and Amanda Owen (Billy) of Leitchfield, KY
1 grandson: William Judson Owen
1 brother: Lee Barrett (Loretta) of Louisville, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 6 PM with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM on Friday. All times are central.
