Susie Benningfield Miller, 96, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Hermitage Care and Rehab Center. Mrs. Miller was born July 18, 1922 in Owensboro to the late Harden and Bertha Powers Benningfield. Her family rejoices knowing she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus, the Christ.
Mrs. Miller was also was preceded in death by her husband, James Mason Miller in 1997; sister, Betty Edwards; brothers, Carter, W.N., and Kerney Benningfield; granddaughter, Sherrie Bolton; two infant grandchildren; and brother-in-law Bobby Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Joyce Pointer and Brenda Whitmer both of Owensboro and Debra Nonweiler and husband Mark of Philpot; son, Jim Miller and wife Terry of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; their adopted family, Scott, Karen, and Brianna Saye; special friend, Majorie Swope; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express special appreciation to the compassionate people of Hospice of W. Kentucky, the caring staff at Hermitage Care and Rehab., and the considerate friends at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service for Susie Miller will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 18 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
