Jane Ann Kirby, 82, of Owensboro, passed away May 16, 2019 at home. She was born July 14, 1936 in Philpot, to the late Roy Carradine and Arvillia Bailey. Jane was a 1954 graduate of Daviess County High School. She went to work at McAtee’s Department Store and then to G.E before deciding to stay at home and raise her three children. Jane was a selfless, loving and positive person. She loved to give, laugh and take care of others.
She is survived by her husband for nearly 46 years, Pleaz J. Kirby; children, Robert Rold (Durinda), Rhonda Rhodes and Julie Kloote (Bill); grandchildren, Alexandra Rhodes, Ashley Rhodes, Brennan Rhodes, Elizabeth Kloote; brother, Roy Denzel Bailey (Loretta).
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
