Shane Wentworth, 51, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born August 15, 1967 in Carroll County, Kentucky. Shane had worked as a welder for Yager Materials. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and had been attending Matthew’s Table. He was a member of the Emmaus Community and enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, cooking, and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wentworth on January 19, 2011 and grandparents, Raymond and Kathryn Wentworth and John and Ada Swofford.
Shane is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Swofford of Owensboro, son, Bailey Wentworth and daughters, Elizabeth Wentworth and Emily Wentworth, all of Evansville, one grandchild, Peyton Kirby of Evansville, two sisters, Tammy Robertson of Owensboro and Angela Evans and husband Michael of Owensboro, a brother, Roger Chilton and wife Britney of Owensboro, his stepmother, Joyce Wentworth of Madison, Indiana, several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
The Funeral Service for Shane Wentworth will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 20, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
