Wanda Lee Frizzell, 93 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Ohio County to the late Lee and Hallie Abney Frizzell. Wanda was of the Baptist faith, and she worked as a first-grade teacher for 44 years at Fairmont Elementary in New Albany, Indiana.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Frizzell; one sister, Sherrill Coker; one sister-in-law, Sherry Frizzell; one nephew, Todd Frizzell and a dear friend, Doris Monhollen.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her siblings, James (Gloria) Frizzell of Beaver Dam, Roger Frizzell of Beaver Dam and Pamela (John) Reeves of South Haven, Mississippi, her dear friend and neighbor, Charlotte Wilde of New Albany, Indiana and dear friend, James Monhollen of Louisville. Wanda was also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until 3 P.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be held at a later date in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
