Loving father, husband, son, and friend, Brian M. Bedwell, 49, of Owensboro, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born, in Jackson, Michigan, on November 12, 1975, to Peggy Adams and the late Jerry Bedwell. Brian worked as a forklift driver for Glenmore Distillery, was a member of the UFCW Local 227, and was a former worship band member at Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green.
Along with his father, Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Williams, Daisy Lynn, and Jesse Bedwell, and his uncle, Scott Vreeland.
Those left to carry his legacy include his wife, Andrea Bedwell; his son, Brooks Bedwell; his mother, Peggy Adams; his siblings, Yvonne (Vince) Gauci, Janet (Todd) Applin, Jason (Brandy) McCracken, Jamie McCracken, Kenneth (Danielle) Bedwell, Rose (Matt Kilgore) Lowe, Crystal Lowe, Hannah (Alan) May, and Race (Emi) Adams; his Grandmother, Barbara Williams; his band brothers, Steve Barr, Junior Huffman, and Sam Howard; several step-siblings and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There are an infinite number of words that can be used to describe Brian, far too many to try to condense to a paragraph, but the best way to encompass who was is a family man. The love he had for his wife, Andrea, and his beautiful son, Brooks, was all consuming and never-ending. To know Brian was to love him, and if he knew you, chances are he loved you and considered you family. Brian was something of a musical savant, his focus being on bass guitar and drums, gracing us with his skills in his band, Happiness Jones. His musical knowledge was boundless; he knew it all. He knew a lot about a lot of things, dove in headfirst to always learn more, and was always willing to share his new trivia. Brian considered himself a “documentarian” who loved taking videos and pictures of his family and friends. He cherished each memory he was able to capture. One thing is for sure, all the beautiful things that made Brian who he was will be carried on with his son Brooks, who will never go a day without hearing how much his dad loved him and how wonderful he was.
