Glenda Jane “Janie” Clary King Calamia, 65, of Rockport, IN, passed away May 7, 2019 at her home. She was born January 6, 1954 to Joe Clary Sr. and Jackie Maxwell. Janie was a painter on two different levels; she was a professional and an artist. She painted houses for a living and painted what was in her heart as a passion of love; something she had inherited from her mother Jackie. Janie had a never-ending smile that she shared with everyone. Her favorite saying was “If you can’t say anything nice about someone, then you shouldn’t say anything at all.”
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Jackie and Bill Spence; sister, Sandi Roberts; and nephew, Jeremy Clary.
She is survived by her father, Joe Clary Sr.; daughter, Casey (Brian) Merimee; son, Chris King; grandchildren, Alex Head, Ariel Fleming, and Brooklyn King; and her brothers, Jody (Judy) Clary, Kenny (Mary) Clary, and Billy Clary; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private. The care of Ms. Calamia has been entrusted to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
