Billy Paul Dean, 83, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his home. He was born October 9, 1935 in Scottsboro, Alabama to the late Clifford and Thelma Ledwell Dean. Billy was retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and A.T.V.’s. He enjoyed woodworking, helping family and friends, and especially loved his grandchildren dearly. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Sutphin and Sherry Carroll, and three brothers, Lindsey, Stanley, and Glenn Dean.
Surviving are his wife, Tonya Dean, who he had been together with for 32 years, a daughter, Dawn Woodruff and husband Jeff of Philpot, grandchildren, Macey Woodruff and Phoenix Hartwick, both of Philpot, Erica Boles of Grant, AL, Jessica Cook and Leigh Harp, both of Cullman, AL, Christopher Sutphin of Grant, AL, and Jim Ed McDaniel of London, KY, several precious great grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth Dean of Brownsboro, AL, two sisters, Wanda Brazell of Huntsville, AL and Carolyn Atnip of Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service for Billy Dean will be 6:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Private graveside services will be Saturday in William McDaniel Cemetery in Hazel Green, KY. Visitation will be from 2PM until 6 PM Friday at the funeral home.
