Sidney "Sid" Hudson

January 31, 1961 - February 8, 2025

Sidney “Sid” Hudson, 64, passed away on February 8, 2025, in Corpus Christi, TX.

Sid Hudson was born on January 31, 1961 in Amarillo, TX, to Allen Hudson and Cynthia Hudson.

Sid graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1979 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from West Texas University in Canyon, TX. He started his accounting career working for Atmos Energy Corporation. His time with the company took him from Amarillo to Dallas and eventually Owensboro, KY where he retired after 35+ years of service.

Sid married Cindra “Cindy” Hudson (Davis) on October 16, 1981 in Amarillo, TX. The couple had 3 children, Seth, Cy, and Salem Hudson.

Sid was a devoted husband, father, and “Pops”. Sid was an avid follower of Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Wesleyan Height UMC (Owensboro) and worshiped with many church communities during he and Cindy’s travels. One of Sid’s most cherished weekly events was taking part in his story-telling Bible study (DDMS).

Sid was an adamant supporter of Cindy’s Mary Kay career with no greater honor than being named the 2022 Mary Kay Madson National Area “Husband of the Year” recipient.

Sid and Cindy especially loved their time of travel and adventure. Sid cherished his title as “Pops” to his four grandchildren. Along with spending time with family and friends, Sid enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, music, and watching a variety of sporting events. Being an outgoing and generous spirit, Sid made lasting friendships everywhere he went.

Sid is preceded in death by his father Allen Dwayne Hudson. Those left to cherish Sid’s memory include his mother Cynthia (Glasgow) Hudson as well as Cindy Hudson, his wife of 43 years. His sons Seth Hudson (Adelyn), Cy Hudson (Sara), and Salem Hudson (Heaven). His grandchildren Lydia, Owen, Ava, and Ian Hudson. His brothers John Hudson (Gale) and Roger Hudson (Patsy), as well as, sister-in-law Denise Rogers (Jim), along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Future details will be shared for memorial services to be held in Kentucky and Texas.
