Ann Gribbins, aged 74, of Owensboro, KY passed away Friday, February 7th, 2025, while in the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House. Ann Marie Gribbins was born December 27, 1950 in Wilmington, DE to the late Myers Floyd and Mary Catherine Gribbins.
Ann was a Lieutenant for the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office in Dade County, FL where she served the community for over 30 years. Before retirement, she served as the Director of 911 Operations in the Emergency Management Division. Ann enjoyed gathering information about her family lineage and spoiling her feline companion, Bonnie.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother John Gribbins.
Ann is survived by her sisters, Karen Gribbins of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sue Gribbins of Owensboro, KY, her brother, Ronald Gribbins of St. Louis, MO, nephews Sean (Tisha) Higgs and Richard (Kristan) Higgs, both of Owensboro, KY, as well as several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family of Ann Gribbins requests that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the local Humane Society.
