Carol S. Ford

October 1, 1950 - May 29, 2019

Carol S. Ford, 68, of Maceo passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born October 1, 1950 in Muhlenberg County to the late Archie and Gracie Browning Dukes, Carol was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church who read her bible daily. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time in her garden. Carol also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a co-owner of George’s BBQ for 20 years then continued in food service at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Carol enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Golden Years Quilting Club.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford also was preceded in death by four of her brothers: James, Ray, Willis, and Kenny Dukes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 30 years, Walter Ford; daughter, Tonya Hinton and husband Brad; step-daughter, Debbie Gaddis and husband Cary; step-son, John Ford and wife Suzanne; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Roger (April) Dukes; sisters, Mary Bartlett, Barbara Cisney, and Jean (Ron) Snow; best friend Phyliss Bartlett.

The service for Carol Ford will be 1:00 pm Monday at Yellow Creek Baptist Church where visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
