
Gerald W. Abrams, Sr. 89, of New Haven, Kentucky, formerly of San Angelo, Texas passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. Gerald Whyman Abrams was born December 22, 1935 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late James Henry and Hattie Mae Whitaker Abrams and was married to the former Nola E. Ray on June 18, 1955.
Gerald retired as a Master Sergent from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and was a Vietnam War Veteran. In San Angelo, Gerald was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed coin collecting, was a member of San Angelo Coin Club, and also enjoyed hunting.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nola Abrams; two sons, Gerald Abrams, Jr. (Virginia) of New Haven and Phillip Abrams of San Angelo; two daughters, Nancy Lozano of Riverbank, California and Candina Kent (Scott) of San Angelo; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lanny Gail Abrams of Pack.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Gerald’s family from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Friday and from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
