Belinda L. Simmons, 76, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born November 20, 1948, to the late Walter Kite and Hazel Garrett Kite. Although she did not graduate, Belinda later obtained the highest GED score in the state of Kentucky. She worked as a volunteer teacher’s aide for Goodfellows. Belinda enjoyed watching wrestling and Gunsmoke and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family and her long walks with her grandson. Belinda had special pets, Spike and Miley Ann.
In addition to her parents, Belinda also was preceded in death by three great grandchildren, Kobey Boarman, Anna Boarman, and Douglas Eugene Stallings; her siblings, Ronald Fox, Sonny Kite, and Doris Ann Wilson.
Survivors include her four children, Keith Simmons (Stacia), Wendy Hall Beard (Ronald Beard) both of Owensboro, Mandy Millay (Shane) of Island, and Mike Simmons (Jennifer) of Evansville; twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
