Agnes Marie Murphy, 75, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway. She was born on February 25, 1950 in Owensboro to the late S.A. and Virgie Winkler Boteler. Agnes was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and was retired from Labor Management Federal Credit Union. She was a member of Sunset Cruisers Car Club along with her husband, Daniel, loved to play bingo and bunco. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 9 siblings and multiple nieces and nephews
Agnes is survived by her husband of 54 years, Daniel Thomas Murphy; daughter, Virginia (Ben) Marie Hodskins; son, Bryant (Lisa Day) Thomas Murphy; grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Beth, Dillion, Dalton and Gracie along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Terry Devine officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Owensboro. Agnes’ family will be greeting friends on Monday from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until 10 am at St. Columba Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Columba Catholic Church for masses in Agnes’ memory or the Alzheimer’s Association.
